New Frontier Friday: Kpop Dancing

Hi Everyone! I hope all of you had a good week and are feeling relaxed this Friday evening.

I'm going to make a goal for myself every week to do something new or something different~~something out of the ordinary. I'll be sharing with you guys what new things I'll be trying and hopefully inspire you to do something new too.

So this week, I started with learning Kpop dances. I seriously think that Kpop groups must be robots or something, because they are just sooo amazing. I mean I could just watch dance practice videos all day with my jaw wide opened. I've always wanted to learn how to dance like them, so I thought why not give it a try. I found this one Youtube channel called TeachMeKpop, and I've been trying to learn Infinite's (of course) "Last Romeo."

Here's their dance practice video. Aren't they amazing?! They're just so synchronized!!! I mean is it even possible that humans could be that perfect?! (Here goes fangirl mode).

I definitely started out kind of stiff and awkward with my moves. I was pretty much a scarecrow trying to dance. But after a million replays and practicing over and over again, I finally got the first part of the dance down. Of course, my moves are far from perfect but I just feel that the more you dance the more addicting it gets. And it's a great way to burn off some extra calories too XD.

Like everything you try to do in life, starting something new can and will be frustrating when you first start.  I mean I started getting frustrated because I just couldn't get the timing right on some of the moves, but what do you do? You take a deep breath and try again. Tell yourself that you can do it. You're not necessarily looking for perfection, but for improvement. And that's all that matters. Just practice and eventually you'll be at that level where you want. It just takes hard work and perseverance.

So if there's anything you've always wanted to do or wanted to learn, go out this weekend and do it!
